My sacrifice, O God, is a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart you, God, will not despise.
- Psalm 51:17
Through it all, Love never fails. All we have to do is to constantly tap into the Love of God and learn to function in the fullness of His Love. We want to thank our supporters for investing in God's calling for our lives, and we pray that His blessings be upon you. Pray for us as we look for a home, and walk in the way of The Lord. We pray that Antioch is constantly edified and made stronger in The Presence of our King.
If we take each step with careful obedience and remember the Love that saved us in the first place, we can watch Him provide for our Destiny.
We are excited to see how God provides for our ticket back to Munich and how His miraculous timing and provision will provide us with a roof over our heads. In the end, everything is done for the Glory of God, and we are just a small part of His magnificent plan.
'But we focus so much on justifying ourselves with the acts of service that we do, that we often forget that our first and most important act of service is to be with God. We were created for fellowship. Fruitful is not always doing, sometimes it's being. Being with God, to see the way He sees the world, it's to feel the way He feels for His people, and it's to hear the words He speaks over us.'
It has nearly been 3 weeks, and we are immensely grateful for the work that has been trusted into our hands in God's good timing. Through the past weeks, we have had several meetings with the leaders of the church, and many prayers shared. With mutual agreement and the seal of approval from The Holy Spirit himself, we have began working alongside the team members in the "Love Changes" cafe.
"Love Changes" is their outreach platform to attract and welcome people into the presence of God and then reaching out to individuals. Just this past Sunday, I witnessed that happening almost organically. Whilst the church which takes place in the club below, throughout the day, the cafe serves from 10am to 10pm. Just in these twelve hours, Ricky and I were able to testify to 6 people about The work of The Holy Spirit in our lives and seed questions of The move of The Spirit in people.
With the Holy Ghost present, the words rolled off of our tongues supernaturally giving us the wisdom to plant seeds as needed in the different individuals. And as we shared this with our mentor back home, she reminded us that for any Revival to occur, The church, the Body of Christ, first needs to be Revived. It needs to be filled with the hunger to experience the Demonstration of The Holy Spirit. And we strongly feel that the cafe could be a catalyst in this process.
All things come with a price, and in this case the price is hard work. Which is what we absolutely love and cherish in this season that we are entering. The work is tough on the bones, and the cold weather does not always aid us, but it fills us up to be working for Jesus in this capacity. To have the opportunity to be His vessels in the very land that we were called to is beyond anything we could ask for. We are pinning our hopes and dreams to the work that Jesus is doing through us and through the amazing vessels around us, in this season.
Seasons come and go, and that is a lesson we've learned. And so we want to keep our head down on the work we are doing here at the cafe and the weekly Bible Study, and leave the future and the mysteries that come with it to Jesus. There's so much peace in knowing that you are not in control of the future.
We have been blessed with a room that we rent, whilst living together with the Bible College students from the Church, and it has been an honour to listen to the way God is moving in every one of their hearts. Provision is always a stretch a faith, but truly and surely God uses the unexpected to provide for us and for the many expenses we have here. This is a season that Ricky and I are choosing to be consumed by the Fire that God is, through the Study of His Word, Worship and the Work that is entrusted to us.
We pray and hope that everyone at home is well and that our church is soaking in The Presence of Jesus. Keep us in your prayers,
Ricky and Prav
Praveena felt moved, after our experience in Germany, to start a woman’s meetings. Wednesdays were dedicated to worship and fellowship over dinner whilst Saturdays were dedicated to cover teachings tailored to empower young women in functioning in their fullest potential in the Kingdom. This opened so many doors for us to communicate to others the truth of Jesus Christ and our call and purpose in His Kingdom. I on the other hand worked at the café’ that our church owns, serving our mentor (the chef) and helped out leading the worship in Praveena’s meetings.
God has been very faithful to us. As we seek His Kingdom and Will, He gives us His seal of approval by anointing the meetings, and sessions with His Presence. The more diligently we seek the Father, the more perspective we gain about His Word.
God also empowered us to be able to hold Supper Clubs in return for donations for our friend in Cambodia. We were able to serve 3 course meals, just like we learnt from Barbara, for a minimum donation and people were kind and generous in donating to the different causes. Discipleship and mentoring became a vital commitment in these months too, following up and teaching the ones we have been trusted with is always a huge responsibility.
God is growing us and moulding us. He is showing us new dimensions to His Presence. With every woman’s meeting and every Thursday or Sunday service we feel God move with increasing intensity.
It is my firm belief that God is preparing us for a time of revival in Europe. Though we might not know how, nor when, we lean on the ever-present strength and wisdom of the Holy Spirit to guide us to where we must go. Thus we remember always:
We told everyone back in Munich that we would be leaving Singapore on January 20th. By faith we believed that we would leave on this date, but we had no assurance of it. By faith we believed that God would provide through His abundant riches and we were blessed with sufficient support to purchase the tickets and will be doing so in the coming week.
This year is filled with many mysteries for us. For the next 3 months, as we go back to Munich, we will be serving the ministry of the church that welcomed us. We will be dedicating our time to the study of the language first and foremost and then to the functioning of their café’ – having the experience that we now treasure from Cambodia and Singapore. There are more plans in the works about us heading our very own congregation, but that is still in progress. We pray and believe that we will be granted a long term visa to stay in the country for longer periods of time and are currently searching for any means to secure that.
There is a great excitement about what is to come and we cannot wait to see God’s plan unfold. We have been so humbled by His hand that has unwrapped moments in our lives like gifts. We do not know what is coming with certainty and that remains one of the most exciting parts about following God fully. Like a loving Father He holds us and carries us from moment to moment and we will continue to update this page every month to let all of you know what God is doing in our lives.
Our prayers and thanks are with all those who have helped us to get to where we are, to our mentors and family, to our church and the many friends that we were able to share with this time around.
in the land where currywurst(sausage with a very good curry sauce) and pommes(fries) seem to follow you all around, we are growing closer to our God of eternity and are understanding our need to surrender all desires and wants to achieve things in our own time but in the time God has appointed for us.
This past month has been truly God lead. We were put through many circumstances, both tough, and stressful, but we have realised that all things come to pass in God's perfect, and I mean perfect timing. To wake up every morning, with God's purpose in our heart and with a hunger for the next steps has been a privilege. Through it all God has comforted us, protected us and also provided for us. We know that God has His eyes on this nation and the souls of this nation and we are excited and expecting to be a part of it. It is not always comfortable, but it is powerful to be in the midst of what God wants to do.
For still the vision awaits its appointed time; it hastens to the end—it will not lie. If it seems slow, wait for it; it will surely come; it will not delay. - Habakkuk 2:3
It has been arduous to have our expectations high with every door that we've been through, as almost 90% of the time it does not go the way we want it to. But it has taught us the importance of surrendering to God's appointed time. Praveena and I have quit trying to understand the reason behind God's commandments for us. Most of the time, we don't understand it. But the Bible teaches us to Obey God not to understand Him. We have 10 days left in this nation and we have absolutely no idea what is going to happen. We know He will make a way, because God has never failed and He won't start now. He has provided miraculously every single time, and he has protected us a million times. We believe He will do a miracle and make it possible for His ambassadors to stay where He has called them.
Meanwhile, we are ambassadors of Christ. In our walk, and in our talk. In the testimonies we share and in the encounters we have with God himself. We focus our time on building up our knowledge of His word, and we go deeper into HIs presence every single day. We leave the house, we take the train and we walk wherever we are told to go. We've cried with refugees praying for them and feeding, we've blessed strangers with coins, and gotten free train rides, we want to Love like God loved us. We want to Love like Christ Loved us.
God loves Munich. God has broken our heart for the souls here, from the cashier at Aldi, to the Döner shop owner, we feel a weight quite unlike anything else we have felt. We want to just sit for hours in shop and observe people. We are completely in love with this nation. And we see that God is softening our hearts through all the difficulties to see the Love that He wants this nation to be submerged in.
Through that very love, we were supernaturally connected to this other church called ICF, and we were given an opportunity to share our vision from God with them. And the very moment we began to pray, The Spirit of God came and gave us favor with them. Slowly, they offered us language courses together with the refugees and they are also now finding all ways and means to keep us in Munich for longer. God's favour is not always how we expect it to be but it always does the job.
We have 10 days to our return ticket to Singapore, and other than missing our family and friends, we really do not want to come back. We are praying for God's miracle, so we can testify to everyone that God will always keep His promises and only ever wants the best thing for you.
Do pray for us that in these next weeks we are able to experience God's supernatural favour and be a testimony for all the people around us. We miss and pray for you.
We are thankful and grateful for all the prayers we receive from home. We are also immensely grateful for a roof on top of our heads and bed to lie our heads on. We are overwhelmed by God's grace that allows us to serve here in Munich.
It gets tougher day by day to be serving here, now that we have been handed the church to run for a month, as the Pastors have taken a well deserved break. But with that said our Encounters with God are getting more and more real and intense. We may have so many things that we want to do for the church but without the Love of God; worship becomes mere music. without the Love of God, the church becomes an organization and we become dry.
We see that God wants to meet His people, we see His heart to consume them like a fire, but we also see that He has his own unique ways and timing to have that done. We need to understand that God wants to Encounter his people in His unique ways. Only He knows when people are ready to Encounter Him. As we were interceding for this church and nation, God's Power and Manifestation filled the room. It was thick and blinding, and it was real. There was "Macht" which is the the power that literally translates to mean the driving force. The driving force blew all the internet systems down in our house and also our neighbours, and we waited 2 days to get it back. During that time, we tried all sorts of things to make the internet work, not knowing what was going on was frustrating. When we finally understood that God's presence, was too high a voltage to be contained in the natural realm, we realised the magnitude of what we were asking of God.
It's great to pray and ask God to show up and show off, but the church needs to be prepared to Encounter God. If they, just like us, scramble around trying to fix "the Encounter" that God is trying to have with His church, then it defeats the whole purpose.
Sometimes being still in His Love can be the hardest thing, because Encountering His love is not always what we expect it to be. He does what He has to do, in His own unique ways. God has a plan for each of us, sometimes the plan is to have us swallowed whole by a fish. Sometimes it is to drown you. Sometimes it is to create chaos in your life. We don't know. But all we have to do is to be still and know that He is God, and that He has plans to prosper us.
With everything we do, for the church here and the people of this nation, we try to be role models of this complete dependance on The Spirit. The Spirit needs to become our way of life, before we can preach and introduce it to others. So we are taking one day at a time, with His Spirit, being still in the chaos, and drowning in His Love.
We send our greetings to all back home at our home church, and to all our families and friends. We love you.

We are blessed to have safely arrived in Munich and are excited to give you a quick update on all that has been happening on this side of the world as many have been asking about the situation here in Munich.
We arrived her safely, and are now serving under IJG Munich church here. The Pastor and his wife, have blessed us tremendously and continue to do so as we figure out our life on this side of the world.
We've never prayed so much before. Everyday we've been here we have heard of something that shook this nation. Every day. Some are acts of desperation, others of depression, but all are due to the lack of Love. And it makes us wonder about the times we are heading into, about the season that is to come. But with each and every prayer and with each and every reading, we realise that it is all about being witnesses to the Power of the Holy Spirit and the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
With every chaos and calamity the nation responds with acts of grace, mercy and love. They have very strong roots set by their fore fathers. Something quite supernaturally unshakeable. They know the Word of God. But they need the Holy Spirit. They need the reality of the person of The Spirit. They need a relationship.
Our first Sunday here, was an impactful one. We witnessed the baptism of 19 Iranians, and 2 Pakistanis. It was held in a beautiful river on a summer afternoon. It was overwhelming to witness the beginning of a relationship between theses 21 men and Jesus Christ himself. We prayed along with the Pastor of the Local Church, and a Pastor from Ghana, for these men to grow in their understanding of the Spirit.
We then went on to serve by leading the worship in their evening service. Hungry souls and starved bodies have one thing in common, they take violently anything they can. It was heart wrenching and encouraging to see the Spiritual Hunger in certain individuals.
We feel pushed and charged, to do everything we can to immerse them in a Heavenly atmosphere ordained and controlled by the Holy Spirit. We start 3 hours of language classes, 6 days a week and we are excited to be used by Him.
There's plenty of uncertainty, but we hold to our call and listen to His Voice.
There is an idea amongst us that the poorer countries, the poorer people, the ones in the slums, struggling in third world countries, are the ones that Jesus ones us to touch. But without Jesus we are all poor, we are all hungry, we are all thirsty.
Germany is an absolutely beautiful and rich country. But it is a hard soil. The leaders have made a way for the Syrian refugees to enter and take refuge in them, and now is the time to use this calamity to introduce the true Saviour to them. The same way Peter learned to look at Jesus and walk on the water, we want God to shine through this situation.
