The House on The Rock

The rain fell, the torrents raged, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because its foundation was on the rock.
— Matthew 7:25

We enter our last month here in Munich, before we return home for a short season. We begin this update with this powerful verse in the Bible, for that has been our journey here thus far both in our personal lives and in our spiritual lives.  We have had to built a strong house for God to reign in us so that he can reign a million times more powerfully through the encounters we have here in Munich.

We are now making more steps here to work with the church in achieving it's vision. We have a full week here at the Office working alongside people from all walks of life and growing our knowledge of both the language and the Bible. Many possibilities and doors have been swung open by God, and now we, with careful consideration, are walking as best as we can to serve this nation the way God would like us to. We have supernatural favour that is always flowing through our veins, that confirms the path we should walk on and we've been entrusted by God with disciples here who are learning the ways and form of the Holy Spirit and it's movement.

Two weeks ago we had to prepare for "Development Day" where we were given the privilege to preach to the elders of the church what our hearts were for and how we think God would like to use us. We were fairly confident that the Holy Spirit would give us the right revelations to share in the right manner, and after which we the feedback we received was one of the most overwhelming moments in our walk with Christ.

The pastor of this church, told us that they need what we have with The Holy Spirit, and that through the next weeks the elders in the church will do everything they can to pray and make a permanent way for us in this church and land.

All the moments of difficulty and closed doors came back to us in that moment. More and more we see that God's timing is not for us to understand but live through. We keep faithful to His word through all the personal trials and difficulties and we choose, and we have to choose, everyday to work for The Glory of His Kingdom alone.

Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the LORD’s purpose that prevails.
— Proverbs 19:21

Surely we wished sometimes for quick fixes, that this process of paving a way into the wilderness that is a new land would be faster, but God's purpose for your life is to make you more like Him. And that takes time, perseverance and character. We are grateful to even be used for such a time as this and we are excited for the great plans that God has for us.

Slowly but surely we are paving the way for missionaries with a heart for Germany to enter. And we hold on to God's hands and guard our heart from lies that may find their way into us.

We will see you in Singapore in a month and we pray that through all the seasons, you are encouraged by the knowledge that God's ways are always higher and greater than our problems and perspectives.

Große Liebe,
